Billing and limits
AFK starts every account and organisation with a 60-day trial. During the trial, all product capabilities are available. After the trial, your effective limits depend on the tier selected in Account → Billing.
Free tier limits
The Free tier is intended for individual use after the trial. It keeps core agent workflows available at no cost while limiting concurrent usage and automation/team features.
| Limit | Free tier |
|---|---|
| Connected daemons | 1 daemon |
| Active sessions | 2 active sessions |
| Org seats on Free | Up to 3 active org members |
| Session history retention | 14 days |
| Inbound webhooks | Disabled |
| BYOK model routing | Available |
| Docker, MCP, skills, plugins, hooks, and memory | Available |
Trial and paid tiers
Active trials and paid tiers raise the archived-history window by tier: Trial keeps 60 days, Pro, Max, and Team keep 1 year, Business keeps 2 years, and Enterprise can be unlimited or custom. Paid tiers also remove daemon and active-session caps. Max, Business, and Enterprise entitlements enable inbound webhook triggers; Team, Business, and Enterprise add team features such as shared dashboards and session assignments.
Where to see your current limits
Open Account → Billing in the AFK app to see the live entitlement state for your personal account or active organisation. The Billing tab shows the effective daemon limit, active-session limit, history retention, inbound webhook access, trial status, and seat usage when applicable.
Entitlement failures
If an action would exceed your current entitlement, AFK blocks it with a clear message. For example, webhook invocations that are not allowed by the current tier return 402 Payment Required.
